A couple of doublets made as sample garments to test the pattern.
These will go up for sale on Etsy or Ebay… In the meantime, if you are interested in either, just ask. You can contact me through either my website (below), or through the Burdastyle messages.

The fabrics all came out of the stash! The trim on the red doublet was a Dunelm Mill special.
The Fleur de Lys doublet is made with a polyester brocade purchased from Dainty Supplies, in Washingtom New Town, Tyne & Wear. It has an interlining of calico and is line with 100% silk dupion.
The red doublet is made with a poly cotton dobby weave outer and a cotton sateen lining.
Both are closed with hooks and eyes placed alternately to help prevent the doublet undoing itself in use!

Thank you. I love doublets, and that brocade just asked to be made into one.
