Description

A mock up and the final result of a simple 3/4 sleeve shirt. I like both. I tried to do some interesting detailing on the neckline; the muslin has pintucks, the fashion fabric version some pleated bias tape. Both feature a button closure on the back. Also I added pockets to the 2nd version.

I used a self drafted block pattern.

Many, many more pics and infos on my blog, you can read about this project here.

I love the detail on both – especially the white and black dot fabric against the bright yellow. Looking lovely!

Lots of really good ideas you worked with. I love both tops!

So sweet! Love the detailing on the muslin and the “extra drapey” bit on the neckline looks perfect. Well done.

Thank you. The drapey bit actually was an accident. I didn’t intend it but there’s somewhere an error in the pattern, combined with the looser weave of the cotton it turned into this. I just decided to go with it.
