I knew as soon as I saw the Matthew Williamson designer pattern, I just had to make it. I loved the pockets and the side inserts. I usually opt for bright colored fabrics (like limegreen) but when I saw this double-faced stretch cotton with skulls…it piqued my interest. Since it was double-faced I thought the side inserts would look awesome in the reverse! I still needed some limegreen in this dress so I sewed an exposed metal zipper along center back. I love it, and think it’s great for this time of year.

Thanks !! There are many great fabric stores in Manhattan that I love. Personally my favorite is Spandex House (38th st) but Mood (37th) and Elegant (40th st, and where I got this skull fabric) are lovely stores as well.
