Made this after seeing all the capes appear on BurdaStyle. Even though its the middle of a scorching summer here in Australia I couldn’t resist the temptation to stock my wardrobe for winter. All the patterns that come out over here are in sync with the Northern Hemisphere, so we get out Winter patterns in summer, and visa versa. Ah well – gives me plenty of time to sew away ready for each season :)
This was fun and very simple, its unlined – so i used a soft fleecy material. I altered it a bit from the pattern, by giving it an asymmetrical collar and double breasted buttons. Overall I love how it turned out and can’t wait to wear it in Autumn :)

That’s one really pretty coat you’ve made there. I wonder if you could share some tips on drafting and/or making up the asymmetric collar?
