The instructions are very easy to follow – Tasia made this pattern with beginners in mind, and I think she did an excellent job. There are enough extra details to make things interesting for any skill level, but a beginner can certainly tackle this project with a bit of help (online or otherwise!).

I love a swingy skirt. And with three different lengths to choose from, this really is the perfect skirt for every occasion.

I decided to add a lining to my skirt since this winter weight garment was going to be worn with tights and I wanted to avoid static cling! More details of how I went about this may be found here.

I also took out a bit of fullness at the center front, mostly due to my heavy weight fabric choice, and the pieces were cut on the bias instead of with the grain.

I am sure that I will be sewing another Hollyburn at some point. It really is a lovely pattern, and I would highly recommend it to anyone!

I am very pleased with my new skirt and imagine that it will be getting a whole lot of wear in the coming months!
