Description
We’re in love! The Doryon romper is right in time for hot summer days. With sharp tailored details like the pleated shorts and the demure hand-sewn inset, this romper is calling for your special touch. You can accessorize this look with a contrasting belt or by tying a sash through the belt loops.
Material Notes
We used cotton to create our romper, fusible interfacing, 3 small snaps and a 40 cm. invisible zipper.

Hi!
I just love this pattern! I have a fabric that would be perfect but it is only 85 cm wide and 180 cm long? Do you think that it is enough?
Kind regards!

I like the design but not the fabric. The color makes her look really pale. Its kind of boring.

Lovely pattern, but I’m disappointed that there have been so many non-free patterns lately. :(

I have to admit this really isn’t my thing… growing up in the 80s left me with a loathing for the entire decade in fashion, and I’m quite thankful I didn’t have to be a teenager back then!! (And quite annoyed that the stuff came back… not that I blame you, BurdaStyle!) The top part with the inset has potential, though— I might borrow that at some point.

Ooooo….I am definitely in need of a summer romper…. though I think I’ll pattern my own using Anda and Jane for a looser fit.

tres chic, i don’t thnk i will be making this for myself but i’m sure my teenage daughter will love it. maybe pants instead of shorts for me as also in the winter, all these summer clothes make me want the warm weather back.

“Is it just me or do the pleats on the shorts all go the same direction?”
They appear to all open to house right, stage left. I wonder why? I’d love to make this outfit either way, though i might have to fix the pleats since it would bother me. i love the way the neckline is shaped, especially the inset.

Lordy, I been waiting and wishing for a jumpsuit pattern for ages (they seem to all be strangely pricey in shops) and this is just fantastic! And rather chic~ Burdastyle, you are on fire at the moment!

Oh burdastyle, you just keep bringing it! I’ve been wanting to make a playsuit for a while. If I make it, might adapt the top a bit, but we’ll see. Thanks, Burdastyle!

I like to look other people wearing that kind of rompers, but this is not for me, I would feel very uncomfortable in it. But I like an idea to make it as two separate parts a top and a shorts. I could combine them with other clothes. I love especially the lower part of this romper, the short plates are really cool.

This is so close to what I have been searching for! Thank you burda for making my quest for the perfect romper a little bit easier.

but uh, why is the model wearing washing up gloves?
lol. I quite often think this about burdastyle styling!
I love this playsuit! A child in the 70s/80s cemented my love for all things jumpsuit.
Being in southern hemisphere winter (brrrrr!), I think I’ll make a long pants version of this for the office. worn with a blouse underneath it will be office-funky.

The jumpsuit is super cute, but uh, why is the model wearing washing up gloves? ;)

i’m not a fan of theese things, i think they are very unflattering for most people… al though this one is a little nicer than most of them, a little more elegant, but still not my favourite item in the world…
the inset is beautiful though ;) great idea

Weee! A Jumpsuit just like I wanted! But, I’m sad cuz’ I don’t think it would fit me… Is there anyway to get you guys to make a Plus size version? (Pleats at the waist might make my bum look bigger! lol!)
Jun 8, 2009, 02.16 PMby lala86
I like the two bust darts detail, but rompers aren’t really my style, so I would transform the shorts into a skirt and use the pattern as a dress. Anyway, it’s good to have pattern variety. by the way… how is the design submission call going?

I was literally about to start drafting myself some rompers for my holiday next month! This is so bang on trend it’s great! I really like the playful dart details and the ‘cut out’ lace on the front.
I totally see this working as a day to night look too.

the insert is beautiful! i think i’ll just make the top but it’s awesome that you can translate a trend so quickly and tastefully!
Jun 8, 2009, 12.36 PMby oscarthegrouch108
it’s cute, but if i make it, i’ll do it as a 2 piece. that way it’ll be more versatile, and fit me better

ahhhhhhhhhhh i was just thinking of making a romper!
i think many rompers/jumpers tend to look like children’s clothes or pj’s/homewear, but this one is so cute, stylish and even sexy!
thank you, burdastyle, for the pattern and inspiration :)

Jumpsuits are in. Though they’re not my thing (remind me of onesies) I like the inset on this one. Can’t wait to see the uploaded creations!
