This is a dress I made for Halloween.
I will be dressing up as Dorothy from the The Wizard of Oz.
The dress is made from gingham cotton and top pop poplin cotton.
It is a simple bodice with darts on the back, box pleat under the bust, scooped back and a pleated skirt.
I have also ‘glittered’ my own pair of high heels to go with the dress.
Costume construction details and more photos of the dress and shoes and last years Halloween costumes on my blog
I hope that this has given you some ideas on your costume for Halloween 2012 :D

Hi Mary, I used “PVA Glue” which is a glue that is white but dries clear and 50 grams glitter bought from the Reject Shop.
