This is my first ever dress! I used the Coffee Date Dress pattern by elainemay. I’m quite pleased with how this first one came out, though next time I will make it longer (petite dress on a tall girl).

I don’t think there’s anything wrong with the length at all! It looks too good for a first dress as well, my early projects were a little…unusual

i think knee length looks great on you. great fabric choice and the belt is a nice touch. did you find the zipper to be difficult? i just used one for the first time this weekend and it was kind of a pain.

thanks! i had used invisible zippers before, so the facing was the most difficult for me. i did go back and use an invisible hem stitch to try to cover the zipper better. good luck! it gets easier. :)
