This dress is totally made from remnants. The design is mine which I named dkouture and it has an unusual one sleeve hence the name. No patterns were used.
This was an idea flowing in my head so I bring it to life. The remnants are black jersey from my two tone dress: http://www.burdastyle.com/projects/two-tone-maxi-dress, a black and whitish silky type fabric measuring only a yd that I had so long now and the sleeve is made from my grandma old chiffon skirt which has beading details at the hemline. (see last photo)
The top of the dress has shoulder and back yoke, bust darts, skirt is asymmetrical with gathers and a one sleeve bell sleeve.
I am extremely proud of myself as this was my first experiment using the fabric to create the design as the dress is being made up. The yokes are for balancing out the style and the main point of the style is to see if the idea of that one sleeve placement could work. I have never seeing it done like this before and I am so living it.
Thanks for the support:-)
