I used an old 80’s silk shirt. I tried a pattern from the book Little Green Dresses, but it was too big, so I kept sewing and sewing. I dyed it to change the colour, I added some gathers, and some smocking. I’m not sure if I like it. It just pulls over, I left the buttons on so that I would have enough material.

Love it, love the colours. Great diaster, you could not reproduce another like it. Looove it. Agree with freakusbzzz. to take the smocking to the back.

well, i think the disaster looks great. maybe you need to put it away for a while to get some space from the frustration you had while making it. The smocking is a lovely feature too.
