I FINALLY made Simplicity 2724, and I absolutely love the pattern. Nary a change to be made.
The top of the dress is upcycled from a torn silk dress a coworker gave me a few years ago. The bottom is a blend I’ve had in my stash for years. I used my favorite trick of recycling an old necktie for the bias bound hem. I also made a matching belt from a vintage belt kit.

This looks great too Honey – you did a lovely job with that silk dress. Gosh you always look so damn sexy! I wish I could look sexy – I’m just too “dorky”! x
PS the neck tie trick is a WINNER!

Ha… you should see all the outtakes. Where I look like ultimate dork!! It’s a good thing there are lots of cast-aside neckties in the thrift/op shops of this world. I love re-purposing them!
