Description

A dirndl made from the Weisendirndl skirt and the Folkwear Austrian Dirndl top. I found a Swedish embroidery pattern I liked so I added it to this project, along with a vine pattern for more drama!

Material Notes

Top of dirndl is reinforced with interfacing and is made of black cotton fabric. The bottom is a “homespun” type plaid fabric and the apron is leftover fabric from a Tia Dalma costume a friend and I made years ago for her to attend Pirates and Princesses at Disney.

Just gorgeous! You did an awesome job! I lived in Germany for awhile and was blessed to see so many different dirndls from the different regions……and you brought back some memories for me. Can I just say “perfection” ?
