Description

I don’t know what YOU asked Santa for Christmas… but I asked for lots and lots of wool. Thanks to Gertie’s blogforbettersewing.wordpress.com… that’s where I got my ideas. Basically I took some big rectangles, gathered them at the top, added a waistband and stuck a zipper and a skirt hook in. Gertie does her skirts a little differently—she makes the zipper go all the way to the top and forgoes the hook, but I like mine a little more traditional. She is the best though. You should go check out her website.

Material Notes

Wool, and beautiful hand-dyed silk courtesy of Paige Thorn (my cousin… check out her website at http://www.paigehathawaythorn.com/)!!!

The colours are gorgeous! I especially love the orangey one – it reminds me of pumpkins.
