I make a lot of bags and once I get going I tend to over-make. I was stuck with quite a few of them and took a stall at the Christmas market. Unfortunately it was minus 15 and I’ve still got the aftermath of the chilblains to prove it. These bags are all cotton based, appliqued or decorated with buttons. They are actually really strong too, so good for carting small amounts of daily shopping around.
I took the pattern for these bags from a book called ‘Making Handbags’, it’s a pretty useful and straightforward book I think.
Cottons, buttons, denim,
Leopard and snakeskin are the new neutrals.
