Description
Designer pattern from Dice Kayek, Burda 07/2011, dress nº 140.
This dress has been on my to-do list for quite a long time time but I wasn’t feeling the peplum for an everyday look. So I omitted it but kept the rest of the pattern identical.
The fit is pretty good and the classic shape makes it a very versatile dress: from daytime to party.
I dyed a beige cotton fabric I had in indigo and it was such a good idea as I really love the new colour I obtained.

medium weight cotton, hand-dyed.
lining (for the skirt part)
invisible zipper and three small button as closure.

What great vision. I loved the cut of the dress but never thought to ditch the peplum. I agree. Bit much for a mooch round the shops! You did a great job. Congrats on the dyeing too :-)

Thank you Janene. I love the peplum but I don’t think I would wear the dress as much with it. I am considering making it like a belt with eye and hook as I have enough fabric left.
