Dice Kayek / Burda style Peplum dress

Added Jul 3, 2012

by cuada

Waterford, Ireland

I made this last November for a wedding I attended. I love the peplum – it gives me curves that I don’t normally have. I only used one layer of the peplum (instead of two on the original pattern) as the satin I used was thicker than the recommended fabric.
The pattern came from the July 2011 issue of Burda Style magazine – There are some photos of the making of this dress on my blog here : cuada design

Thanks – it almost didn’t work because of the thickness of the peplum fabric, but leaving out the under piece made it all come together ok!
