This is one of the first dresses I ever tried to make with a commercial pattern. It was supposed to be an easy/beginner’s pattern, but it gave me so much trouble and headache (especially the collar) that I put it aside for almost a year. I finally decided a few days ago that I wanted this dress out of my life, so I forced myself to finish it by any means necessary.
2 yards of something slippery that gave me a lot of problems

This dress looks great on you. The effort was worth it don’t you think? For slippery fabric try an even feed foot.

And your photo is so cute with you frowning! The dress is adorable,
I love the fringe on the bottom, fresh surprise for that pattern style.

Well done – this was definitely worth it! It looks really good. I agree those Vogue Easy patterns are sometimes not so easy – I too have a satin top I started over a year ago in this pattern that I have never finished!!!
