This is one of the first dresses I ever tried to make with a commercial pattern. It was supposed to be an easy/beginner’s pattern, but it gave me so much trouble and headache (especially the collar) that I put it aside for almost a year. I finally decided a few days ago that I wanted this dress out of my life, so I forced myself to finish it by any means necessary.

Ha! I have two projects like that in my drawer….. I love this dress! And your photo is so cute with you frowning! The dress is adorable, I love the fringe on the bottom, fresh surprise for that pattern style. Cute.

Well done – this was definitely worth it! It looks really good. I agree those Vogue Easy patterns are sometimes not so easy – I too have a satin top I started over a year ago in this pattern that I have never finished!!!
