This dress is made using Butterick pattern 4790. I’ve been wanting to make this dress forever, but the pattern was too expensive. I saw it on sale recently and zapped it up. I found the this fabric in my local Asian shop for £1.50 ($2.50) per metre. This is the first time I’ve applied a bias binding to a garment and I was happy to find that it wasn’t as difficult as I anticipated.
The dress was super easy to make – it’s 3 piece with darts in the front and back. The dress back wraps around to the front. Hope you can see it from the pictures.
