This is my first Burdastyle pattern.
My only comment regarding the Desira Pattern
pertains to the print out pdf. of the instructions. The images and instructions are virtually
illegible. Someone there needs a lesson in how to format documents to keep the
words formatted nicely and the images large enough to see!!!! ( I rely on these images
The instructions are poorly written for a novice like me who needs the pattern to actually learn the
technique’s of sewing i.e. with this pattern in particular the front/band/plaque that trims
the edges of the dress in the front/neck is not well written, nor is there a proper diagram
to follow visually. Also, if you are going to refer to the individual pattern pieces in the instructions
-their description should be consistent. They refer to pieces sometimes as the letter A,B, than as
their location (which aren’t labelled.)
Other than that I think the dress came out nice. I had to wing it since I really couldn’t figure out
with their instructions the finishing of the arm and front band.
I turned the blouse into a dress and I actually made it a wrap dress.

Love this as a wrap dress, great design choice. sorry to hear you struggled with the instructions. I like the fabric choice as well.

You’ve done a great job – especially with having those difficult instructions
