A challenge for man and machine!
It was already in my choice of fabric, which has brought me and my machine to the limits.
The taft by Hugo Boss is very tightly woven, and I could, the more layers of fabric were only sew very slowly with 60’s Microtex needle.
The instructions I had read line by line several times, was not always easy.
But it is important for countries to sew instructions and it needs to be fed.
In the blog I have prepared a photo gallery. Help me more pictures than text.
But since I have chosen the outer fabric and the lining of the same material for the dress, it is difficult to see from the photos what’s shell and lining what. Exactly what happened to me during sewing.
Well, the dress must be worn on both sides, so I sewed a sequin band at the top and bottom of the lining hem. The sequin band is, so it does not get on your skin.
The loop I have not sutured. So I am free to wear different belts.
I place the seam concealed zip chosen a separable two-way metal zip and have not regretted it, because that is also an additional eye-catcher.
It is overall a nice interface, which is time consuming but to me it was a lot of fun and I would sew it again, because the fit is very good. I have (only) cut the top part, I’m only 160 cm tall.
When I’ve tried what I can contribute, I got the idea spontaneously Wedding Dress! So I have my old veil and a lace jacket dug out with a train. I would have liked (then with train) carried to the registry office or even to church. It’s Something! Quite simply, I like it also. What do you like? I like to wear to fashion week with the black lace jacket and usually not so showy. The last photo are my style.
