I went to Derby Day this year & made my dress.
I drafted the pattern myself & am really happy with the outcome. I really like the little peplums & hte glimpse of red underneath them. My hat is a vintage hat I bought for last year’s Derby.

Ah peplums! I remember a couple of pretty tops I made in the 70s. This is a chic twist indeed.

So pretty! The peplum and little red detail remind me of the lovely lines of a duck – the way it’s feathers drape down, often revealing just a hint of another color underneath.

Gorgeous! That floucy peplum is gorgeous. Hope you had fun – about the only fabulous day of spring weather the spring racing carnival will get, so it would seem :)
