Denim trench

Added Feb 4, 2011

Oakland, Califor...

Based on Mccall’s 5525. I did one row of buttons rather than two (for some reason the shoulder flap is on the wrong side in the pattern; it should go over the opening rather than opposite, to keep out the rain!). The undercollar and collar stand stitching technique is one I borrowed from Al’s Attire in SF—works similar to padstitching to help the collar roll properly. I love denim; it gives rugged elegance to whatever you make from it.

Material Notes

denim, polyester lining

Spring, Fall, Winter
Garment Type
Denim, Polyester

I really don`t like denim, but this coat is really special – a little bit G-Star style. Simply great
