Description

A Burda Magazine 50’es style skirt, made in denim, with a few changes. Made the zipper centre back instead of left side and added an extra, separating the hem.

I’ve tried to enter the pattern name below, but it doesn’t seem to work.

This skirt is based on: burda style magazine 02/2010 Knee-length skirt #124 B

Material Notes

Denim, zippers.

This is a great skirt. And good luck with your own label.

Thank you! :-) I’m very excited. I’m sure it’ll take some time to get started properly, but I’ll get there.

fantastisk smuk nederdel! I love the exposed zippers, both practical, that much more room for cycling with that bottom zipper ;-) and stylish!

And then the translation ;-) It was actually quite easy to work with the zippers this way. In spite of the fact, that the original skirt was made in a much more light fabric, I think it turned out very well. The only thing teasing a bit (?) was the hem. To make a traditional jeans-hem, make it look pro AND have the zipper working would be close to impossible, I think. :-)

Thank you! :-) Feels great to have made a first piece, that just fits! I actually just took a Burda size 36 and it fits perfectly! Now I’m working on getting my alpaca- collar with fabric-“flowers” done, but I guess I have to wait half a wear wearing it, since spring has arrived :-) Happy easter and thanks again ;-)

Congrats on coming back to sewing! That’s a hot skirt, and what a great fit. I love pencil skirts.
