I love the way the romper turned out, but think about making it at least two (or more) sizes bigger than the kid. I made a size 4 and my 2 1/2 year old has already outgrown it. And, it is hard to change diapers in as you have to completely take it off, change diaper and put it back on again.
I learned how to make pin tucks and the instructions in Burda 9491 were easy to follow.
