Grand Rapids, Mi...
This is from my Spring/Summer 2011 collection, “Lost in the Snowfire.” My inspiration was the early spring thaw when days are wet and foggy from the snow melting. Fog is one of my favorite weather patterns and served as the main focus of the collection. Grape Hyacinth also served as a main color amongst the greys and chartreuse tones.
This coat is made from denim and features a cloak connected to an inner vest which is fully lined. A lined shawl hood was attached to give a mysterious vibe. This was my collection opener and I wanted to tell the story of a girl wandering through a foggy field (Modern “Little Red Riding Hood”).
