I’m currently participating in an online sewing competition called Project Sewn. The theme for week 3 was 1980s fashion, and this is the outfit I made. Kelly Kapowski from the show Saved by the Bell was my inspiration and I decided to make a denim jacket and a slim & colorful zip-fly skirt. The top is a baggy kimono sleeve tee made from a funky jersey print.
The jacket pattern is a Burda “cropped denim jacket” PDF. For the skirt I used Grainline Studio Moss Mini skirt pattern, lengthened four inches. The tee has no pattern.
See more photos on my blog.
Stretch denim for jacket, blue stretch denim for skirt, cotton jersey for tee.
It's time to enter for our grand prize, an EX100 machine PLUS a trip to Nashville!
