I have recently taken up bag/clothes making (although Im yet to make any clothes!). This is the very first thing I have attempted to make and I suppose it’s meant to be some sort of make up bag or purse. There was absolutely no forethought, I just fancied having a go at making something. It’s all hand stitched as I dont have a sewing machine and I just blagged my way through sewing a zip on as I had absolutely no idea how to do it. It’ll probably end up as a little bag for my cousin’s 2 year old if I just add a handle to it. She won’t worry about the rough stitching at all!
The denim is from an old pair of jeans which would have eventually been taken to the charity shop. The fabric flowers are from some ribbon I had in my craft box, I just cut the individual flowers from it. The metal flower is also from my craft box. I make a lot of cards and just had these in to use on a birthday card.

It’s simple and beautiful – especially the seam in the middle! I like how the colour matches the flowers.
