Description

Not quite a coffee date dress, but based on the pattern. I reduced the flare on the skirt (not enough fabric in the stash!). Unfortunately I ruined the bodice lining then managed to tear it and a small part of one the arm holes in the process – right at the front. I decided to abandon the lining in lieu of a fun binding trim which I love!! I repaired the tear and have made peace with it’s scar! I may add the coffee date ruffles in a black and white fabric (similar to the binding) – or wear it with a co-ordinating bow tie necklace from my Etsy store. Hmmm.

I love it and I love the necklace. Well coordinated fabric and accessories.

Very cute! I wanted to make a denim version of this as well. Love the armhole binding, much easier than lining or facing.

It’s very cute! Great way to fix the armhole with the fun binding.
