I know that skinny jeans are the new hotness, and I’ve made a few pairs and wear them often, but in my heart I love big wide legs with high waistlines, which made Vogue 1059, and Alice + Olivia design, pretty much made for me. In fact, I love them so much, I’ve already made them twice, with pair #3 in the planning stage.
My first pair was sort of a wearable muslin, made of inexpensive polyester suiting, in an of-the-moment oxblood color. You can see them here – The first pair
The second pair I made as a pair of trouser jeans, and they are absolutely the most amazing pair of jeans I have ever owned. You can see them here – The jeans
For the third pair, I have some yummy heathered grey wool, and I’m planning to line them. Perfect for frosty winter days.
Do I care that they are ridiculously out of style? No way! I’m calling them 40s inspired. Vintage is always in!
Poly suiting for pair 1
Stretch denim for pair 2
For both pairs: quilt weight cotton for the facings and pocket bags
Pre-Weft Interfacing
9 inch zippers (pants 1, invisible; pants 2, metal jeans zip)

They look great especially the denim ones, they have a really nice cut to them. Will have to look that pattern up.
