When I was out shopping one day, I came across this beautiful deep cowl-neck top by Michael Kors. I tried it on and fell in love, esp. with the neckline. However, I didn’t care for the cut at the armhole so I decided to “copy” the pattern (collar only) and alter the armhole to my taste. Found this chocolate brown spandex fabric that I had in my stash and it was just sufficient for this blouse. So I got to work drafting a pattern for the neckline, started cutting and basically just used my serger to sew the entire blouse. It definitely was a very quick but satisfying project. In my pictures, I “dressed” the blouse up with a long ball-type necklace to add interest. Unfortunately, I did not make that, but, I’m certain, if I put my heart and hand to it, I can.
Spandex, 2-way stretch fabric (will work with light-weight knit jersey as well)
