This is another men’s shirt, made by the pattern i drafted and have used now previosuly two times. Another one with checks too! This is the 4th button up shirt ive made, and they just get easier and quicker…AND they look so nice!
The reason this one is different, if that i opted to use a diamond shaped decorative stitch. Best choice i’ve ever made. Looks awesome, and fancy, and is actually such a super cheat. because its about 7mm wide this stitch, it means that if you are sewing, for example, the neck stand and collar, and your a tiny bit off, your not going to end up with an ugly line which you hate because it isnt perfectly straight. Also because its checks, i’ve found that if your line is straight, but not straight exactly with the print, it just looks off and its really frustrating! It also means that when you are attaching the cuffs and the collar stand, you arent going to miss one side and have to unstitch and redo it. Oh and i also top stitched all the seams, which i have generally just left on the others – makes for a more sterdy shirt!
HOW HAVE I NOT DONE THIS EARLIER!?!?
Also I love my new machine and its button holes. They are so so nice, and easy, and quick! Perfect! My old machine always struggled abit when it came to them…would always mess up for unknown reasons
I don’t think i need to say anymore…..the pictures explain the rest :)
Oh wait. They don’t tell you how this time it hasnt turned out mysteriously too small in the sleeves! YAY!
