Description

Didnt have time to make my own and other bridesmaids dresses but made this headband as something to wear that was my own and bit different.

I like old brass brooches from the forties and fifties esp those in flower shapes – picked a couple up at secondhand markets and glued them to a plain gold headband from John Lewis. The added some decorative brass “sprigs” from VV Rouleaux, a ribbon and trimming shop in London. I guess this whole thing came in and under fifteen quid and had loads of complients on it all dy.

Material Notes

brass in the main

Thanks but it was actually quite chunky and heavy once I had it on!

Looks nice! The brooches already were gold or did you paint them?

No they were gold already but I certainly dont see why you couldnt spray paint one you found that wasn’t- but you woud probably have to use that extra strong enamel spray they use on boats and outdoor furniture that dries to a hard sheen.
