I thought this Burda magazine pattern for a leather skirt would suit my black needle-cord fabric as it’s also relatively heavy. The only changes I made were to lengthen the skirt and add a hem with lace trim. It was my first time to do in-seam pockets: pretty fun, and they’ll be nice to use as the pattern makes them quite roomy.
Black corduroy, dark grey lining fabric, concealed zip and cheap black lace edging. I used double-sided fusible and black sew-in fusible in the waistband, and ordinary medium fusible for the back pocket lining and along the pocket and zip seams.
