Burda Style For people who sew
Description
After testing out the modifications to Drape Drape Book 1 dress 3, the gather drape dress here: http://www.burdastyle.com/projects/dd-dress-3-in-black, I made another dress.
This cotton jersey has a really nice hand and is flecked with darker colours. I got this jersey for a good price and thought it would make a great gather drape dress.
I found that my back modifications were good but dropping the waist of the dress isn’t great in this fabric. The black fabric in the other version did not pouf as much as this fabric does and consequently, I find that this version highlights my hips and tummy in a way I don’t like.
I’m still going to wear it!
