Loved the Danielle dress and how versatile the pattern could be. I wanted to make a dress suitable for dressing up and down for day and evening, Once I had downloaded the pattern, I just needed some fabric to get excited about, While in Barcelona fell in love with a beautiful fabric shop in the Gothic quarter this took my fancy, it is heavy upholstery fabric and has dark forest cut outs with stag, eagle and spiderwebs dotted about, It works well with the dress shape, as none of the folds or shape are sharp. I removed the sleeves from the pattern and tweaked the waistline to sit higher on the body. Pretty happy with the end result and looking forward to wearing with thick colourful tights in the autumn.
