After booking 5 months ago, finally, this weekend will be the day on the green with Madeleine Peyroux and Dianna Krall.
And there has been another wait too… this is the long-awaited dress, after two practice dresses late last year. I chose to use the pattern of practice piece Like a Cloud with some sizing adjustments. It is a neue mode M23156. And instead of using the facings provided, I worked the floral cutouts along the neckline and arm holes.
Dress: check.
Hotel reservation: check.
Leave approved for Monday: check.
…all set for a romantic long weekend.

This is amazing! What beautiful handiwork. The type of thing you’d see on the red carpet. And thanks for the patchwork notebook comment. We put together the quilt top last night!

Hi Masha, finally you get to see the dress and the fancy fabric for which I wanted to be sure I got the right pattern. Yes, I agree, the fabric really makes it.

Absolutely beautiful. So elegant. It reminds me of something Charlotte York in Sex and the City would wear.

Thank you, Susisonne. It is inspiring to see your ‘first attempt’ projects. Trying new things is nerve-wracking. But you end up with a wide range of skills!
