I recently introduced my boyfriend to Doctor Who… He’s now obsessed. He wanted to be The Doctor (10, Tennant) for Halloween. So, naturally, I had to go as a dalek.
Material Notes
Dress: Faux satin, make-you-own plastic Christmas ornaments backed with styrofoam and painted bronze, and zipper Lights: Headband, electric LED tea "candles", disposable plastic shot glasses. Accessories: toilet plunger and egg beater on a shoe string. special thank you to my new glue gun. I love Halloween!

Your costume is awesome! I am thinking about making a dalek costume for this year. What did you use for the domes on the bottom? Did you just make them out of fabric and stuff them or is it something more sturdy like a styrofoam ball?

The domes are plastic “christmas ornaments” like these: http://factorydirectcraft.com/pimages/20090605145429-668346/60mm_acrylic_fillable_ball_ornament_1.jpg . after painting them, I glued half Styrofoam balls inside those and glued the balls to the skirt. I tried just styrofoam, but it didn’t look right.
