This is very lovely job – so delicate and intricate! I am a huge fan of this type of garment as most “formal” or “black tie” numbers don’t have sleeves – and I HATE my arms!!! This is so beautiful and shear! xxxx

Thank you. It was relatively simple, once I’d got the idea in my head. The only really tricky bit was the second row of gathers , and I cheated and did that y hand!

Thanks. She wanted more solidity there without the formality of cuffs. I didn’t think traditional cuffs would work anyway, and ruching is all the rage, so I tried that.
You can hardly see where I added the extra length: it’s a very five seam and the gathers disguise it nicely.

That’s the beauty of gathers. And also the fabric helps, I guess (by the way, I absolutely love it as well!). :-)

Thank you. It was fun, if a bit skiddly in places.

Thanks. :) Just a little bit of fun! I was also testing a new Bernina 1008 I was sent to put through its paces. Certainly handles the light stuff like a pro!
