I took a cycling top of my husband and resized it for my Godsons 6th birthday present.
I had to unpick it all, make a pattern-using a book with loads of measurements in and then because I wasn’t that confident I went out and bought a long sleeved t-shirt.
I’m really pleased with it and can’t believe how well it’s turned out, especially as I was finishing it just before we left! It fits brilliantly. I did change the pockets on the back because he’s only narrow I made it two pockets rather than the original 3 but womens jerseys have two and this allows little man to have a bottle on his back too. I chose the orange shirt as it matches his bike.
Adult lycra cycling jersey.

I was so pleased to see this cycling shirt on this site this morning. Besides sewing, cycling is my other passion and I have been thinking of making my own cycling tops, so now you have inspired me. I think you have done an amazing job and your Godson looks very sporty in his new cycling jersey.

Thank you, I’m still proud of it and have started to go through hubbys box again! Have you made one yet?
