Burda Style For people who sew
Description
i saw a video on how-to make a cycling cap, looked for some extra instructions and this is what came out after some struggling with the pattern.
I am really pleased, goofy looking and all.
Material Notes
lightweight 100% cotton (tergal). but can be done in denim, jeans, wool…. any fabrics with some structure.

not goofy at all. that is the sweetest little cyclocap!!! i’ve never been able to wear this style of cap cuz the standard size ones don’t fit my big ass head. really, i have a head the size of my ass and the fro doesn’t help…but now with a custom made pattern, i might just be able to rock one!!!! oh, and i’ve never seen threadbanger before…..THANKS!!!

a head size of one’s ass is funny. ahhaha.
but, really, if you’re following that video, i would suggest:
- first, cut of the three panels and sew them together. be sure it fits your head.
-only then cut the two stripes(the bands), according to the size of the first piece.
- before cutting fabric for the brim, try experimenting out on muslin or something like that. my finished brim looks nothing like the one instructed on the video.
but, i highly recommend trying one og these.
