I liked my first version of this dress so much, I decided to make another! This time I used a deep purple fabric for the skirt, and a black and ivory print for the bodice. I also nixed the ruffle this time around just to mix things up a little bit. I lowered the back neckline as well, and then lined it in purple for fun!
black and ivory print - cotton, purple - who knows? (another bargain table find)

I love your version of this dress. Your design changes really change the feel of the pattern. Great fit too…Well done!

This is a very beautiful version! I liked the pattern, but the ruffle made me uneasy. Now I see how it would be without one and I LOVE it! You made excellent choices both in modifications of the pattern and the colours!

did you raise the front neckline at all? if not, I am loving this pattern without the ruffle! I agree with buzzybee, the fabric choices are great

I like your fabric choices. How do you get the belt to stay up? It’s something that never works for me. Although I like the look!
