Description

As soon as I saw this pattern I knew I had to make some for my two little nieces (ages 3 and 4) for Christmas. I filled them up with little treasures and they were a big hit! They took a lot longer to make than I had been anticipating, but a lot of time was spent quilting the fabric. You could get the same result if you chose a fabric that was already quilted and used a different fabric to line it.

I was unable to find the batting recommended in the instructions. It seems to call for iron-on batting. I’m not convinced this exists. Oh, and you can iron regular batting as you’re sewing, but it crushes it and makes it kind crispy. Lesson learned!

Oh, you can see more on my blog, if you’re curious. Would love to see you there!

Material Notes

It’s so fun to have a project that calls for quilting cotton. So many fun prints!
