Description

I used the celestina pattern for this dress. Lengthened the ties so that they could wrap around the front and shorted the sleeves to cap length. I still think this dress is a bit frumpy. But maybe still a bit cute at the same time? Because the fabric is the most beautiful Japanese cotton sateen that i have seen. The pictures really don’t do it justice.

Material Notes

Beautiful multicoloured Japanese cotton sateen, invisible zipper

There is nothing frumpy about this dress. It is very cute. It is a nice style and has a great fit.

Cute and a bit frumpy can definately go together! And it does in this case. If you want to spice it up a bit, try a contrasting belt (OK, that would require doing something about the ties) and be glad you changed the sleeves: with the long ones, the dress would have been really frumpy.

Very adorable! I think it does look a bit house-wifey, but not at all in a frumpy sort of way! It looks very charming on you! Nice work!
