We were having a surprise baby shower for a co-worker who is expecting a little girl. I found this cute pattern for a 0-3 month peasant dress on the internet and just had to try it! It was so easy to make and turned out so precious that I had to make 2 of them. And I have another one cut out and ready to put together. The pink one has elastic in the sleeves and I left the brown one with flutter sleeves. I can’t remember the name of the site where I got the pattern but I will check and post it later. It was a free download pattern and I will definitely be making many more for mom’s expecting little princesses!!! I even found a site that has patterns for sizes 3-6, 9-12 and 18-24 months in the same style top/dress. I think I have found my new “go to” pattern for baby showers!!!! (as long as they are having a girl). I also made matching burb cloths to go with each top! Oh and pacifier clips too. I love sewing for babies!!!

It is the Infant Peasant Dress. When you go to the website Sewmuchado.blogspot.com and go to her tutorials it is the second one on the baby stuff. Hope this helps.

you should try this top, it is so easy! And there are plenty of free patterns out there for all sizes of this style of top/dress. I am in the process of making my granddaughter one now in a size 3T. But I am using a pattern from the book “Little Girls, Big Style” by Mary Abreu. I took a class and made a peasant top with matching ruffled pants a while ago and the book has all the patterns for sizes 2-6. Happy Sewing!
