GAUGE:

Motif = 4 in. [10 cm] diameter. BE SURE TO CHECK YOUR GAUGE. When you match the gauge in a pattern, your project will be the size specified in the pattern and the materials specified in the pattern will be sufficient. If it takes you fewer stitches and rows to make a 4 in. [10 cm] square, try using a smaller size hook or needles; if more stitches and rows, try a larger size hook or needles.

MOTIF VI
Ch 8, sl st in beg ch to form a ring.
Rnd 1: Ch 3 (counts as dc), dc in ring, (ch 6, 3 dc in ring) 5 times, ch 6, dc in ring, join with sl st in top of beg ch – 6 ch-6 sp.
Rnd 2: [ch 1, sk 1 dc, (sc, hdc, 7 dc, hdc, sc) in next ch-6 sp, ch 1, sk 1 dc, sl st in next dc] around – 6 petals. Fasten off.

FINISHING
Weave in ends.
