Step 1 Measure Machine

  • LENGTH (L) – Measure the widest part of the front of the machine
  • WIDTH (W) – Measure the deepest part of the side of the machine, from front to back
  • HEIGHT (H) – Measure from the base to the tallest part of the machine.
  • SEAM ALLOWANCE: add 1 1/2 in (3.5 cm) to each measurement. This allows for a traditional 5/8" seam, plus some ease. If you prefer a larger or smaller seam allowance, adjust accordingly, but be sure to allow some extra room for “ease” or you will have problems getting the cover on and off your machine.
