Description
This gown was my client’s own design which I executed.
She chose a lovely metallic, champagne colored stretch knit fabric, which I was against in the beginning, but she convinced me that this was what she wanted. It turned out better than I expected so I guess she was right.
The lace added a touch of elegance to the design. I hand sewed it to the bodice and sleeves.
I didn’t have to add a zipper because the fabric of course stretches and her narrow hips slipped through without a problem. It’s also fully lined. There are bra cups sewn into the bodice to add shape and a little volume. The crossed straps in the back holds the sleeves and bodice in place nicely.
I’m happy this is done because the prom is today! ;)
