Description

Here is my own adaptation of Burda’s Bra and Panty Sloper. I have only done the panty so far, but I’ll keep you posted on the bra. I have slightly modified the pattern after a first try (sample panty, not shown here) and came up with this special version (see photos). I have used a white, dye-free, 100 % coton jersey fabric for the gusset (to meet my ‘special’ underwear needs) and a synthetic stretch jersey fabric for the back and front. To do so, I slightly modified the original pattern, which I printed at home using Burda’s instructions. It was fairly easy to do, as I am by no means an expert seamtress. If you want more details about the modifications, just ask, I will gladly provide you with the details. The pattern is large enough that it leave plenty of room for adaptation, which I like. Anyway, happy sewing!!

Material Notes

Use elastic fabric and good quality thread and elastic for the waist. It makes all the difference. You may never want to buy commercial panties again… ;-) I sure don’t!
