Description

Skirt made from this pattern: http://www.burdastyle.com/patterns/102010-wool-skirt-with-ribbon-waistband
I didn’t use wool – instead a fairly thick cottony curtain I bought at the op-shop.
I also changed the gathering at the front – I tried the gathering – it just looked way too poofy – like a maternity skirt or something. And I think that would be even more of a problem if it were made out of wool as recommended.
Instead, I folded the extra fabric (that would have been taken up by the gathering) over to make angled pleats. It is still a bit poofy – as all skirts of this type tend to be, but I think it looks better.

Material Notes

Thickish cottonish curtain fabric
