"Cupcake Top": My first sewing project :)

Description

My first time really sewing on my own. Used (Afternoon) Tea Top pattern (which I just love) and added a satin bow and made it into a halterneck top :)

Had to make the pattern a little bigger as I am a size 36 and not 34. First time altering a pattern also.

Material Notes

Cotton with printed cupcakes, pink satin for the bow

    I’m in the process of making something like this just now. With halterneck – to give it the 50’s look. I’m liking how yours has turned out and can only hope mine will be as good :)

    This is lovely, and the fabric is so cute! I also added halter neck straps to my Tea Top but have yet to upload it, I think it gives it a retro look.

    I love this! I love halter tops mainly because I really like my shoulders, but I am extremely small chested and when I say extremely I mean like AA small! Straps in any variety are a must for keeping things up since I can’t do it on me own lol. Super cute fabic as well

      I know what you mean, I am small chested as well so that’s why I go for tops with straps as well ;)

    Very cute. Great job, especially for your first project! The bow is a nice touch. I think this would look good with some cute buttons down the front too… What do you think?

      I considered also adding buttons, but decided to stick with the bow only, but thank you for coming with the idea :)
